This week, OEC’s Marc Armstrong, Senior Director of Government Affairs, and Kelly Barr, External Affairs Manager, presented at the RESMA Lobby Clinic in Monterey, California, which was attended by over 60 government affairs professionals from co-op statewide associations and G&Ts.
Marc was invited to speak about Ohio’s PAC efforts, which have helped establish the largest cooperative PAC in the country, while Kelly shared Ohio’s successful legislative advocacy strategies. Their presentations highlighted the strong advocacy culture that has made Ohio a recognized leader among electric cooperatives nationwide.
The interest from attendees reinforced Ohio’s reputation for excellence, with many states seeking to learn more about our programs and requesting copies of OEC’s legislative brochure and advocacy materials. Ohio’s success continues to serve as a model for cooperative advocacy across the nation.
