If you remember our second issue of SAFELINES back in August of 2023, we highlighted Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative’s storage organizer that was able to hold their hitches, recovery straps, load securement straps, and more. In this cooperative highlight, we are looking at another unique storage cart for material and tools to frame poles in the shop. Clint Patterson was again the main fabricator of these carts with some input from others on the design. These carts are mobile, and Hancock-Wood explained that they from around 90% of their poles in the shop before the crew leaves. To reiterate our earlier issue of SAFELINES, disorganization can lead to many safety hazards, and innovations like this can help to keep workers both safe and efficient.
