Columbus, OH - Employees of OEC's statewide office gathered Thursday, October 12, for the annual Light the Night event in Columbus, Ohio. Over the past two months, OEC staff have worked to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society annual fundraising event which aims to bring light to the darkness of cancer. The fundraising kicked off in August at the Summer Conference with a live and silent auction. OEC employees also held individual fundraising events at the office, such as a chili cook off. The individual events raised overE $3,000. OEC's final fundraising total exceeded $74,000, earning the statewide office the distinction of being named the #1 corporate fundraiser in Central Ohio. OEC’s Vice President of Power Generation, Tom Alban, was named #1 individual fundraiser for Central Ohio.
