Farm and Dairy recently highlighted the efforts of Ohio’s electric co-ops, including Consolidated Cooperative and Team Midwest, that are working to provide high-speed internet to rural Ohioans. OEC’s Doug Miller and representatives from the cooperatives are quoted explaining the many variables co-ops are faced with when providing fiber internet services, including terrain, population density, and future advancements in broadband technology.
“Our philosophy is this is a service that is going to improve the quality of life in the areas we serve,” said Dan Jones, chief marketing officer at Consolidated.
