Advanced Human Performance Workshop

Description:
The Safety Training & Loss Prevention Department is very excited to offer this first-time workshop, the ADVANCED HUMAN PERFORMANCE (HP) COURSE led by SET Solutions. The purpose of this HP course is to help eliminate human errors with potential to cause an unwanted incident at your cooperative. There is a strong need for an HP program in electrical utilities because of the inherent high-risk nature of the industry.  To successfully minimize human errors that cause unwanted incidents, it is necessary to understand what contributes to those errors.  This course will help individuals understand why errors occur so that the specific types of errors that are causing unwanted incidents can be eliminated. This interactive training course will be delivered in a two-day interactive format and will include the following elements:

  • Human Performance Principles- Why Do People Make Mistakes?
  • Understanding Human Nature
  • Understanding Personal Risk Tolerance
  • Understanding Critical Tasks and Error Likely Situations
  • Situational Awareness and Safety Drift
  • Breaking down “ERROR TRAPS” and Implementing Error Prevention Tools
