Meet Ohio's New Legislators

Sen Susan Manchester

State Senator Susan Manchester has just begun her first term in the Ohio Senate as the new General Assembly kicked off on January 6. Senator Manchester previously served three terms in the Ohio House of Representatives beginning in 2018. Senator Manchester represents the 12th Senate District, which includes all of Allen, Auglaize, Champaign, Mercer, and Shelby counties, in addition to portions of Darke and Logan counties. The Senator represents many electric cooperatives including, Paulding Putnam EC, Hancock-Wood EC, Midwest Electric, Mid-Ohio Energy, Logan County EC, URE (Union), Pioneer EC, and Darke REC. Manchester has spent time as a legislator focused on addressing the most prevalent needs in her community, including those of Ohio’s children and beginning farmers. Senator Manchester has also been appointed to serve on both the Energy and Public Utilities Committee in the Senate.

 

Rep. Jodi Salvo

Representative Jodi Salvo is serving her first term in the Ohio House of Representatives and was elected to represent District 51, which includes Tuscarawas County and parts of Stark County. There are many cooperatives in her district including Carroll EC, Frontier Power Co., Guernsey-Muskingum EC, and Holmes-Wayne EC. The Representative’s previous professional experience includes work as a nonprofit director, medical social work, and managing rehabilitation unit cases. Representative Salvo has also been appointed to serve on the House Energy Committee.
