Three receive OLSA scholarships

Hopkins, Baker, Metcalf

Morgan Hopkins, Meredith Baker, and Harrison Metcalf were awarded first, second, and third place, respectively, in the Ohio Line Supervisors Association (OLSA) Scholarship competition.

OLSA is an association of the line supervisors of 25 electric cooperatives in Ohio and West Virginia, affiliated with Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives. A panel of independent judges reviewed the applications and interviewed the finalists before determining the winners.

Hopkins, winner of the $2,000 first-place scholarship, is the daughter of Josh and Beth Hopkins. She is a senior at West Muskingum High School. Her mother works for Guernsey-Muskingum Electric Cooperative.

Baker, winner of the $1,500 second-place scholarship, is the daughter of Julie and Gary Baker. She is a senior at Newark High School. Her father works for The Energy Cooperative.

Metcalf, winner of the $1,000 third-place scholarship, is the son of John and Sandy Metcalf. He is a senior at Elgin High School. His father works for Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative.
