Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives recently celebrated the careers of Mohan Sachdeva and Dee Berns, both of whom are retiring.

Sachdeva, OEC’s managing director of power delivery, engineering planning, and reliability compliance, has served Ohio’s co-ops since 2011. Prior to his arrival at OEC, Sachdeva worked at AEP from 1979 to 2010. Before moving to the United States, Sachdeva worked for the federal government of India for 10 years.

Sachdeva has abundant travel plans upon his retirement, including an upcoming extended trip to India with stops in Thailand and New Zealand. Later this year, he plans to visit Costa Rica, England, and Scotland.

Dee Berns, OEC’s statewide services coordinator, has served the Ohio co-op community for nearly 26 years. Prior to her arrival at OEC, Berns worked in a security position for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C., and for Key Bank Investments in Cleveland as an OTC broker assistant.

After adjusting to her new lifestlyle, Berns will help plan her son’s wedding and spend more time with her grandchildren, with future plans to travel and further enjoy her retirement.
