Washington Electric’s David Miller passes away


David P. Miller, 67, chairman of the board at Washington Electric Cooperative and a trustee of Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, passed away on April 9.

Miller is survived by his wife of 46 years, Candy; three children, two grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

Miller served for 30 years as a district farm management specialist with Ohio State University Extension. He was a 1971 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics, and a 1973 graduate of Oregon State University with a master’s in agricultural economics. He also owned and operated a family farm for more than 30 years.

In addition to his service to electric cooperatives, Miller was active with Community Savings, Noble County Lions Club, Caldwell First Presbyterian Church, Agland Cooperative, and the Caldwell Exempted Village School Board.

Donations in Miller’s memory can be made to Caldwell First Presbyterian Church and the Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department.
