OEC Lights the Night to combat blood cancer

OEC employees honored those who have fought blood cancers at Light the Night Central Ohio, held October 25 at McFerson Commons in downtown Columbus.

Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives concluded a successful fundraising effort on October 25 by participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night event in downtown Columbus.

OEC ranked fourth among corporate teams participating in the event, with a total of $35,680 raised.

Additionally, Tom Alban, OEC vice president of power generation, ranked fourth in individual fundraising, with $20,074 raised in honor of his wife, Mary Beth.
