Freshman lawmakers visit Mid-Ohio Energy headquarters

Eight freshman members of the Ohio House of Representatives – representing urban, suburban, and rural districts, and both major parties – recently visited Mid-Ohio Energy in Kenton for a tour of the cooperative’s headquarters.

A bipartisan group of eight freshman state representatives visited Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative headquarters in Kenton as part of a tour of rural Ohio.

The group included Republican representatives Haraz Ghanbari, Perrysburg; Don Jones, Freeport; Susan Manchester, Waynesfield; and Jon Cross of Kenton, and Democrats Terrence Upchurch, Cleveland; Casey Weinstein, Hudson; Juanita Brent, Cleveland; and Allison Russo, Upper Arlington.

At Mid-Ohio, legislators toured the co-op’s facility and learned how a local, member-owned utility supplies power to the community.
