Firelands Electric Cooperative has appointed Daniel McNaull of Ashland general manager of the not-for-profit organization, effective upon the February 2018 retirement of incumbent General Manager April Bordas.
McNaull has served on the Firelands Electric Cooperative board since 1991, and was elected president in 1999.
McNaull attended North Central Technical College and The Ohio State University, and is co-owner and vice president of Ashland Implement, Inc. He currently is the nominating committee chairman for Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, serves on the Buckeye Power marketing committee, and is a member of the joint policy committee for both organizations.
“Dan’s tenure on the Firelands board, coupled with his unparalleled business acumen, operational insight, and member service credentials, make him exceptionally qualified to assume effective responsibility of our co-op,” said Bordas. “I fully endorse the board’s selection of Dan, with the confidence that our members, staff, and community partners are in capable hands.”
Firelands Electric serves 9,100 homes and businesses in rural areas of Ashland, Huron, Lorain and Richland counties.
