GREENVILLE, Ohio — Greenville Generating Station announced today that it, in collaboration with Darke Rural Electric Cooperative, has donated $1,000 to EUM Church’s “Hometown Christmas” initiative, a program that provides food, clothing, and necessities for in-need families during the Christmas season.
“The Greenville staff is pleased to contribute to EUM Church’s ‘Hometown Christmas’ campaign,” said Plant Manager Dave Richardson. “In light of the devastating economic impact that the pandemic has had in the local community, we hope that our donation encourages others to get involved to make the holiday season a bit brighter for those in need.”
The Greenville Generating Station is natural gas-powered peaking plant with a 200 MW generation capacity. Peaking plants are placed into operation when energy demand is at its highest.
