OEC holds economic development seminar for community leaders, co-op employees

Tori Schaefer, Cameron Williams, Catalina Valencia, and Griff Salmon lead an open panel discussion on technology and economic development at an OEC seminar held this week.

Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives hosted a day-long seminar for 93 economic development officials, co-op employees, JobsOhio partners, and other community leaders on October 4 at its Columbus headquarters.

The session featured presentations on the crossroads of technology and economic development, led by Catalina Valencia from Global Location Strategies, Cameron Williams from Strategic Development Group, and Griff Salmon from VisionFirst Advisors.

Topics discussed included technology investments in site selection, the impact of technology on site location projects, and the use of technology for economic development competitivieness.
